THE annual fireworks display and bonfire event in Ringwood has been cancelled due to Covid-19.
The event had been due to take place on Sunday, November 1 on Carvers Recreation Ground.
A statement from Ringwood Town Council said: "This year's Fireworks and Bonfire event, which was due to take place on Sunday 1st November on Carvers Recreation Ground, will regretfully not take place this year.
"The organisers felt that it would be too difficult to achieve the social distancing requirements at such a large scale event along with all the precautions that would be needed to ensure the event was compliant with Government Guidelines for Covid-19.
"We very much hope to be back in 2021."
