A DIVERSION will be in place on the A345 today and tomorrow, as the council deals with an emergency repair.
A hole in the road's surface, which is 1.2m deep and 1m wide, has been described by Wiltshire Council as "dangerous", causing the area south of Enford to be closed as repair work takes place.
The authority has urged motorists using this route to allow more time for their journey.
Diversions are in place while the void is being dealt with.
We have ongoing works on the A342 Rushall to Wedhampton road until 9 October, with night-time closures (8pm-6am) only. However, from Monday, we also have to carry out emergency repairs of the A345 just south of Enford, as a large void has been found under the road. 1/3 pic.twitter.com/9VVWL09zTA
