PLANS have been submitted to demolish a former bank damaged by fire - and build four studio flats.

The flats - which would all have one-bedroom - would be on the site of the old Lloyds Bank on Station Road, Tidworth, and will include car parking, cycle parking, bin storage and amenity space.

Salisbury Journal:

The building was damaged by fire in October last year, with nine fire crews from Ludgershall, Amesbury, Salisbury (two), Pewsey and Marlborough, and Andover (two) and Redbridge, from Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service, sent to the scene, along with an incident command vehicle from Devizes and an operational support unit from Swindon.

In 2019, a planning application for the demolition of the single storey building and construction of eight, self-contained flats including parking was withdrawn.

The application says the proposed development would "result in a visually improved site and help to regenerate this area of the town centre."
