A DAD had his car seized by police on the school run in Dorchester.
He was stopped by the force's No Excuse Team in their continuing crackdown on rogue drivers yesterday.
A spokesman for the team said: "Driving to collect your children from school (alone) on a provisional licence because it's too far to walk is not a valid reason to break the law.
"In Dorchester this Vauxhall Astra was being driven by a provisional licence holder, alone.
"As mentioned the driver was on the way to collect his children from school, why risk it?
"The vehicle was seized and a fixed penalty issued."
