A ROAD in North Dorset was closed this morning after a vehicle crashed with a telegraph pole.
Police received the report at 6.41am that a single-vehicle collision had taken place on the A357 at Fiddleford, near the Fiddleford Inn, Sturminster Newton.
The road was closed in both directions at the A354 Blandford roundabout and Bushes Road toward Pimperne.
Dorset Police has confirmed the road has now reopened.
The incident was affecting traffic between Blandford Forum and Sturminster Newton.
A Dorset Police spokeswoman said: "We received a report at 6.41am that a single vehicle had collided with a telegraph pole, which has fallen into the road.
"The vehicle needs to be recovered. The ambulance service attended and took the driver to hospital as a precaution."
