NEARLY 30 people were caught speeding in just one hour at a junction in the New Forest.

Police joined forces with the members of the New Forest Roads Awareness Speed Watch Team.

They spent an hour on Monday (September 28) in Roger Penny Way, at the crossroads by the Longcross car park and caught 27 people driving over the 40mph limit.

A police spokesman said: "Thanks to everyone who did stick to the speed limit and to those who didn’t, please slow down."
