FOREST Forge Theatre Company in Ringwood have received support from a family-run business to help it continue to reach communities through its work.
The theatre, which recently reopened after a months of closure due to the coronavirus pandemic, have been sponsored by Carpet Barn and The Bed Store, which is based in Bournemouth.
Forest Forge Theatre Company is a charity whose mission is to make the benefits of watching and participating in theatre accessible to all.
It has been running for more than 37 years creating an outlet for youth theatre groups as well as running touring productions.
David Ironside, the owner of Carpet Barn and The Bed Store, said: “It is a pleasure to be supporting Forest Forge with their great work. As a local, independent business, we are fully aware of the importance to help local communities, particularly during the strange times we find ourselves in currently.”
Sharon Lawless, the CEO and creative producer of Forest Forge, added: “We are so grateful for the sponsorship provided by David and his team. The support has helped us continue our work, especially essential during this challenging time.
“We are proud to display the Carpet Barn and The Bed Store logo on the side of our touring van and within our publicity. It’s a true testament to local businesses supporting each other.”
During the pandemic the theatre company has has adapted to offer digital courses and workshops online, free video talks, and support for their participants and associate artists online.
It has now welcomed the return of its participation groups to the building as well as continuing with its online courses.
The Youth Theatre has made a return to Forest Forge Theatre.
