NOT many sets of pictures contain hands made of soap and a dog called Tikka. However, these photographs from the 11th Studland Country Fair do.

The Daily Echo and Advertiser were the official sponsors of the event in late August 2000, when it raised money for National Meningitis Trust.

A darts competition featuring international player Les Wallace took place one evening with a cash prize of £100 for both the top man and woman.

There was also a fairground, bar and barbecue - something for all the family.

The main event however was the country fair itself which boasted a parachute display team jumping into the main arena.

Other exhibitions included a sheep shearing show, a dog show and a demonstration from the Ringwood Flying Owls.
