A round up of Salisbury-based cases from Swindon Magistrates Court:

MATTHEW JEWELL, aged 40, of Dairyhouse Bridge caravan site, Salisbury, pleaded guilty to a string of car-related offences. On June 23 last year Jewell was driving a Ford Transit along Rampart Road in Salisbury, when damage was accidentally caused to a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter, but the incident was not reported within 24 hours of its happening. He pleaded guilty to driving without due care and attention. Jewell was found guilty of driving a Mercedes-Benz C180 along Barnard Street in Salisbury on November 8 without the appropriate policy of insurance. The defendant pleaded guilty to using a Mercedes-Benz C180 in Portsmouth on December 7 under the influence of cocaine, and resisting a police constable on January 1. Jewell was ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £90 and costs of £85, and he has been disqualified from holding a driving licence for three years. He must attend activities or appointments as instructed by an officer and must complete 120 hours of unpaid work.

RYAN SHEPPARD, aged 37, of Woodside Road, Salisbury, indicated a plea of guilty to contacting a person via Facebook Messenger when he was prohibited from doing so by a non-molestation order. The incident took place in Salisbury on September 28. Sheppard was fined £80 and was ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £34 and costs of £85.

OWEN PEARCE, aged 22, of no fixed abode, pleaded guilty to damaging a garage door to the value of £400 in Salisbury on April 14. The defendant was ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £95 and must attend activities and appointments as instructed by an officer. His time spent in custody was considered time served for the offence.

KRASIMIR IVANOV, aged 27, of Gateway Terrace, Bristol, pleaded guilty to driving a car in Tidworth without due care and attention. The incident took place on August 25 last year when Ivanov was driving a Vauxhall Vivaro along Burlington Walk. He was fined £466 and was ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £47 and costs of £110. His driving record was endorsed with six points.

CARL SHIPSEY, aged 47, of Well Court, Andover, was found guilty of exceeding a 30mph speed limit on a restricted road in Bulford. The incident took place on August 19 last year when Shipsey was driving a Ford Transit along Tidworth Road. He was fined £440 and was ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £44 and costs of £110. His driving record was endorsed with six points.
