A TEAM of firefighters from Fordingbridge are setting off on 54-mile charity challenge this weekend.
The team of firefighters from Fordingbridge Fire Station will be walking/running around all 11 fire stations in the New Forest wearing their full fire kit and a 16kg breathing apparatus set.
They had been due to do the challenge on April 11 and 12 but had to postpone it due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Lee Dorrington, who is part of the team, said: "The whole team feels ready after two full months of training covering roughly 250kms and we looking forward to setting off early Saturday morning there will be a live tracker set up on our Facebook page so people can track our progress."
The challenge is in aid of The Fire Fighters Charity who help support firefighters and their families.
