A NURSING and care agency has moved away from the traditional care home setting, to offer a private care service within the home.

With more individuals choosing to live at home for longer, Nurseplus UK has launched its ‘care at home’ brand - where home carers will be matched with clients based on clinical needs and interests to look after them in the home environment.

With the Covid-19 lockdown inevitably causing further isolation of vulnerable residents, the new service, which launched in Salisbury earlier this month, was part-designed to combat loneliness and improve client wellbeing.

It’s a different version of care - homecare workers will be bringing residents the care home experience with a more personal touch in a familiar setting for them.

Andrea Morgan, business development manager of Nurseplus ‘care at home’ said: “We have received overwhelming support following the recent launch and there is definitely room for Nurseplus to provide a first class ‘care at home’ service.

"During conversations I’ve had with local people, some didn’t realise care and companionship at home was even an option - believing moving to a residential setting was the only way to receive care.

"We hope that through delivering great care, we can change these preconceptions and enable people to live life the way they want.”

Joshua Collins MBA, CEO of Nurseplus, added: “Nurseplus has 20 years’ history and experience in delivering quality care and by leveraging our existing branch network and staff we can expand on our current expertise in this area to provide quality homecare to those that need it.

"We already have a substantial amount of clients who are utilising us for private work in their homes.

“We are really pleased with the development and commitment to the new service offering so far and are looking forward to helping vulnerable people in communities across the country.”
