In the past few weeks coronavirus has spread to much of Basingstoke, including areas where no cases had been previously reported.

However, the latest figures available show that there are currently several areas around Basingstoke with zero to two cases.

According to a map on the government's coronavirus dashboard, which breaks down positive cases into Middle Super Output Areas (small areas with an average population of 7,200), villages on the edge of the town in the week to October 24 saw zero to two cases recorded.

They are the areas with the lowest rates which come up as 'suppressed' "to protect the privacy of individuals and prevent disclosure".
