Coronavirus cases have been on the rise in most parts of Salisbury, according to official figures.

A map on the government coronavirus dashboard breaks down positive cases in England into small areas with an average population of 7,200. These are called Middle Super Output Areas (MSOAs).

Most MSOAs in and around Salisbury have rates below 100, among the lowest in the country.

However, in the week to November 10, the latest period for which figures are available, a few areas saw rates surpass 100.

The MSOAs with the highest rates are:

  • Larkhill, Shrewton & Bulford Camp (17 cases; rolling rate of 157.3)
  • Tidworth & Ludgershall (28 cases; rolling rate of 154.8)
  • East Harnham (9 cases; rolling rate of 151.0)
  • Downton & Morgan's Vale (9 cases; rolling rate of 112.1)
  • Whaddon, Whiteparish & Winterslow (8 cases, rolling rate of 100.7)
  • Cathedral & Harnham (5 cases; rolling rate of 100.2)

The MSOAs with rates below 100 are:

  • Bishopsdown (3 cases; rolling rate of 44.9)
  • Great Wishford, Woodford Valley & Porton (4 cases; rolling rate of 62.5) 
  • Amesbury (8 cases, rolling rate of 64.8) 
  • Durrington & Bulford (5 cases; rolling rate of 80.8)
  • Bemerton (6 cases, rolling rate of 88.1)
  • Churchfields (6 cases, rolling rate of 89.0)
  • Wilton, Nadder & Ebble (10 cases; rolling rate of 97.1)
  • Salisbury Town North & Milford (6 cases; rolling rate of 98.2)

The MSOAs that reported a rise in cases compared to the week before are:

  • Tidworth & Ludgershall (28 cases; +13) 
  • Downton & Morgan's Vale (9 cases; +7)
  • Whaddon, Whiteparish & Winterslow (8 cases, +7) 
  • East Harnham (9 cases; +4)
  • Amesbury (8 cases, +4) 
  • Bemerton (6 cases, +4)
  • Salisbury Town North & Milford (6 cases; +4)
  • Larkhill, Shrewton & Bulford Camp (17 cases; +2)
  • Great Wishford, Woodford Valley & Porton (4 cases; +2) 
  • Durrington & Bulford (5 cases; +1)
  • Churchfields (6 cases, +1)

The MSOAs that reported a drop in cases compared to the week before are:

  • Wilton, Nadder & Ebble (10 cases; -1)
  • Bishopsdown (3 cases; -4)

Figures for Stratford (4 cases; rolling rate of 68.1) and Salisbury Cathedral & Harnham (5 cases; rolling rate of 100.2) remained the same.

Data for Laverstock, Bodenham & Coombe Bissett is not available as fewer than 3 infections were reported in the area.
