A Salisbury District Hospital patient has died after testing positive for Covid-19, it has been confirmed.
A man in his 80s died on November 15, bringing the total number of patients who died after contracting coronavirus since the pandemic began to 60.
A spokesperson from Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust said: "Sadly a total of 60 patients who had tested positive for COVID-19 have died at Salisbury District Hospital.
"One man in his eighties, with pre-existing health conditions, died on 15th November.
"Our thoughts and condolences are with the patient’s family and loved ones at this difficult time."
The hospital has also confirmed at as of 8.15am on Tuesday, 11 positive patients are being cared for on-site.
