A ROUND-UP of cases from Salisbury Magistrates Court:

DARYL NASH, aged 27, of Far View Road, Shrewton, pleaded guilty to driving while exceeding the legal alcohol limit. On December 8 last year he was driving a Seat Leon along Potterne Road in Devizes, with 209 milligrammes of alcohol in every 100 millilitres of blood. He was fined £200 and was ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £32 and costs of £85. The defendant was also disqualified from holding a driving licence for 24 months.

DANIEL ROSE, aged 37, of Kensington Road, Weston-Super-Mare, indicated a plea of guilty to sexually assaulting a man in Salisbury. The incident took place on February 29 in St Mark’s Avenue, when Rose sexually touched a man with intent and without consent. He was ordered to pay compensation of £500. He will be registered with police for five years and must attend activities and appointments as instructed by an officer.

CHRISTOPHER WILLIAMSON, aged 37, of Sutherland Road, Southampton, pleaded guilty to driving while exceeding the legal alcohol limit. On March 14 he was driving a Ford Focus along the A36 in Alderbury, with 56 microgrammes of alcohol in every 100 millilitres of breath. He was fined £120 and was ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £32 and costs of £85. The defendant was also disqualified from holding a driving licence for 15 months.

JANE SMITH, aged 54, of Granary Close, Horsham, pleaded guilty to driving while exceeding the legal alcohol limit. On March 19 she was driving a Vauxhall Corsa along The Packway in Amesbury, with 87 microgrammes of alcohol in every 100 millilitres of breath. She was fined £461 and was ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £46 and costs of £85. Smith was also disqualified from holding a driving licence for 20 months.

RONAN WILLCOX, aged 25, of Doves Meadow, Broad Chalke, pleaded guilty to driving under the influence of drugs. On September 19 last year Willcox was driving a Ford Fiesta along Parkwall in Salisbury with a proportion of Benzoylecgonine and Delta-9-Tetrahydrocannabinol in his blood. He also pleaded guilty to possessing cannabis. Willcox was fined £196 and was ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £32 and costs of £85. He was disqualified from holding a driving licence for 13 months.

JAMIE CHAPMAN, aged 31, of Savernake Avenue, Melksham, pleaded guilty to driving under the influence of drugs. On December 5 last year Chapman was driving a Transit van along the A360 in Shrewton, with a proportion of Delta-9-Tetrahydrocannabinol in his blood. He also pleaded guilty to possessing cannabis. The defendant was fined £120 and was ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £32. He was disqualified from holding a driving licence for 14 months.
