GET into the festive spirit and explore the city by taking part in the Christmas tree trail.
Twelve large Christmas trees have been put up around the streets in the city centre.
The trail which launches today (Saturday, November 21) runs until Monday, January 4.
The themed trees will be dotted around the city centre - starting at Salisbury Cathedral and finishing at the Market Place.
How to take part
Search for a hidden letter in each tree and uncover the festive character for a chance to win a prize.
Entries should be posted in the red post box at the front of the Guildhall. The winner will receive a £50 Salisbury Gift Card donated by Casterbridge Wealth.
Download the trail map from the Salisbury City Council/Christmas in Salisbury websites from Saturday or get them from Salisbury Information Centre in Fish Row after the end of lockdown.
How you can get involved with your own festive display
Residents are being invited to add some festive magic to their own front gardens. This could include putting up a Christmas tree for people to enjoy whilst on their outdoor exercise.
Salisbury’s Christmas Lights
Christmas in Salisbury traditionally begins with the switch on event in the Market Place, but due to Covid-19 this event will not be going ahead this year.
However, Salisbury will still be dressed in lights over the festive period. The lights will be illuminated, including the lights wrapping the trees in the Market Place, from Saturday (November 21).
