A statement from Wiltshire Creative said: “We are determined the pandemic will not stop Wiltshire Creative bringing you the Christmas cheer you need and deserve. And so we are delighted to confirm that, subject to government guidelines, our Christmas musical Little Robin Redbreast will go ahead.”

“It has been a tough year for everyone and we know this production will spread some joy and Christmas magic, in a safe and socially distanced setting.” the statement added. “Please do come along and show your support for the theatre at Christmas time. We are hugely proud to be one of only 20 per cent of theatres in the country opening to entertain you; so come and join us for this festive treat.”

The cast features many familiar faces to the Salisbury Playhouse stage including Bernadette Bangura, who starred as Consuela in Salisbury Playhouse’s hit pantomime Robin Hood last year, and Ryan Heenan who was in the theatre’s production of Moonfleet. They are joined on stage by by Philippa Hogg and Dan Smith (Moonfleet and Worst Wedding Ever, Salisbury Playhouse).
