POLICE have issued a CCTV appeal following an incident of criminal damage to a boat in Weymouth - causing around £2000 worth of damage.

Officers investigating have issued a CCTV image of a man they would like to speak to in relation to the incident.

Dorset Police received a report at around 9.30am on Monday, October 26 that a bottle had caused damage to the windscreen of a boat in the harbour.

Officers have carried out a number of enquiries, including checking CCTV in the area, and have identified that the incident occurred at around 11.30pm on Friday, October 23.

Police Community Support Investigator Tom Reynolds, of Weymouth police, said: “This incident caused a significant amount of damage to the boat, costing around £2000 to repair.

“I have been carrying out a number of enquiries into this incident and am now in a position to release a CCTV image of a man I would like to speak to as part of my investigation.

“I would ask anyone who recognises him to please get in touch.”
