A MAN who defecated in a Bournemouth town centre churchyard on two separate occasions has appeared in court.
Darren Frank Keeping, aged 48, was prosecuted under the Ecclesiastical Courts Jurisdiction Act 1860 for incidents that took place on April 12 and May 29 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Albert Road, Bournemouth.
Keeping, whose address was given as Holdenhurst Road, Bournemouth, was charged with two counts of engaging in riotous, violent or indecent behaviour in the churchyard by the office door.
Appearing before magistrates sitting in Poole on November 12, the defendant admitted both offences.
He was discharged conditionally for 12 months and ordered to pay a £21 surcharge.
