Today is the day we will find out what tier Wiltshire, and Salisbury, will be in once lockdown ends.

Tier Two rules have been confirmed for Salisbury and the rest of Wiltshire.

UPDATE - Full details as Tier Two rules for Wiltshire confirmed

Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced on Monday that the three-tier system will return on December 2.

However, there are some changes and a number of areas that were previously in the lowest tier are expected to move up.

What tier Wiltshire will be in affects what we can and can't do in the run up to Christmas.

It also has repercussions on how businesses such as restaurants and pubs will be allowed to operate in the next few weeks.

On Tuesday (November 24), Kate Blackburn, Wiltshire Council's director for public health, said it is difficult to speculate on what restrictions will be in place in the county after the end of lockdown.

She told Tuesday's media briefing she was "erring on the side of caution" before suggesting either way.

Prior to November 5, when the lockdown came into force, Ms Blackburn revealed there had been discussions about Wiltshire possibly moving to Tier 2.
