The occupant of a car with no front number plate has been fined for breaking Covid-19 restrictions.
Three other people travelling in the same vehicle were given warnings for being out during lockdown after being stopped by police during Saturday night's patrols in villages south of Salisbury.
Last night, officers also seized a car with no insurance, dealt with the driver of a van in which a young child was incorrectly restrained and began investigations into dangerous driving.
Patrols in villages such as Whiteparish, Landford, Winterslow, Pitton, Farley, Alderbury, Downton, Odstock, Nunton and Coombe Bissett were prompted by a spate of burglaries and incidents of criminal damage.
