BURGATE School and Sixth Form has thrown its support behind a Christmas present appeal to bring some festive cheer to people in need this Christmas.
A collection point for students to donate gifts has been set up at the school to support the Salvation Army’s appeal.
Donations of unwrapped gifts can be taken to the Salvation Army Hall in Fordingbridge, The Branch and The Gourmet Grocer on the High Street.
A post on the Salvation Army Fordingbridge Facebook page said: “When you are doing your shopping (online or in shops) please consider whether you are able to buy a gift for someone else.
“With more individuals and families finding life tough this year we really need your help to provide some hope and joy this Christmas.
“Gifts for children and adults, male and female needed.”
Donations of gift wrap would also be welcome.
A JustGiving page has been set up for financial donations to support the Christmas present appeal. Click here to donate.
