AN appeal has been issued to find the next of kin of a man who recently died in North Dorset.

Bernard Jeanes, who was 78-years-old, died at his home in West Street in Fontmell Magna near Shaftesbury on Friday, December 4.

His death is not being treated as suspicious and no police investigation is needed into his death.

The Coroner for Dorset is seeking the assistance of the public to find the man's next of kin and to call the office with any information.

Coroner’s Officer Sharon Emmerson said: “We are not treating his death as suspicious, however, we have not been able to locate his next of kin.

“If any member of the public has any knowledge of his family members, please contact us as soon as possible on 01202 454767 or 01202 454910.”
