A number of GP practices across Wiltshire will start administering the Covid-19 vaccine to those aged 80 or above from today (December 16).
It comes as part of the next stage of the vaccination programme, launched this week, which sees GP surgeries rolling out the jab in their communities.
In Wiltshire, GP-led vaccinations start this morning (December 16) at four dedicated centres.
These are:
- Corn Exchange, Devizes
- Steam Museum, Swindon
- Combe Down Surgery, near Bath
- Rowden Surgery, Chippenham
There is still no official date for the roll-out of the Pfizer/BioNTech jab in Salisbury.
However, a GP who used to practise in the city, expects it to be delivered by the end of the year.
Members of the public should wait to be contacted by the NHS rather than calling their practice or local hospital.
