THE creator of a weekly quiz in Woodgreen has brought out a book to raise money for NHS charities.

Anthony Swift, who runs Anthony’s Quiz, which usually runs in the Horse and Groom before going online during the lockdown in March, has published the book of its 2020 quiz questions.

He said: “Initially, we put the entry fees for the quiz into a contribution back to the pub to help tide them over the pandemic. It is those lockdown quizzes which have been collected into the book. There are over 30 quizzes, each of four 10-question rounds – along with the answers.”

Proceeds will go to Bournemouth and Salisbury NHS Charities. Anthony is asking for a suggested donation of £15 for a copy of the book plus £5 postage and packing.

The books will be on sale at the Horse and Groom in Woodgreen, the Fordingbridge Bookshop and the Woodgreen village shop.

Anthony added: “The books will make a great stocking filler and as well as having a piece of social history, the donation will be a true gift to the NHS, which has been exceptional this year.”

The quiz is still being held online at patreon.com/anthonysquiz.
