Hospital records new Covid death as cases rise
Salisbury District Hospital has recorded a new coronavirus death amid a recent rise in cases.
As of 8.15am today (December 21), 22 inpatients who have tested positive for Covid-19 are being cared for at the city's hospital.
On Sunday (December 20), a man in his 90s became the latest patient to have passed away having contracted the virus.
A spokesperson from Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust said: "Sadly a total of 68 patients who had tested positive for COVID-19 have died at Salisbury District Hospital.
"A man in his nineties died on 20th December 2020.
"Our thoughts and condolences are with the patient’s family and loved ones at this difficult time."
