Coronavirus cases are on the rise almost everywhere in Salisbury, including the villages and towns around it.

In the week before Christmas, most areas saw their infection rates soar to more than 200 per 100,000 people.

Salisbury District Hospital has also warned it is under "intense" pressure due to the "continued" rise in Covid-19 patients.

The number of positive cases on site is now just as high as it was in mid April.

In the latest 24-hour period, 79 cases were reported in the Wiltshire Council area, bringing the total number since the pandemic began to 6,979.

Specific data for Salisbury is not available but a map on the government coronavirus dashboard shows how many cases have been reported in one particular area over a weekly period, the case rate per 100,000 and whether cases have gone up or down compared to the previous week.
