NINE post offices in south Wiltshire are to close under proposals announced by Post Office bosses including the famous "Valentine" post office at Lover, near Redlynch.
Four of them are set to close permanently - Lover, Bulford, Laverstock and the Victoria Park post office in Salisbury.
In the others it is planned to replace them with outreach services. They are Broad Chalke, Coombe Bissett, Newton Tony, Tilshead and Wylye.
Campaigners are mounting protests to try and stop the closures.
