Some of the cases heard at Salisbury Magistrates' in December:

DEAN GRIFFITHS, aged 35, of Rendells Court, Devizes, pleaded guilty to damaging a door in Salisbury. On April 20 last year Griffiths intentionally damaged a pane of glass in a door to the value of around £158. He indicated a plea of guilty to possessing a small folding locking knife along Castle Street on the same day. The defendant was committed to prison for six months suspended for 18 months. He was ordered to pay compensation of £158.46 and a surcharge to fund victim services of £128.

GRANT WALKER-CAMPBELL, aged 52, of The Mountings, Swindon, pleaded guilty to driving under the influence of drugs in Salisbury. On December 28, 2019, the defendant was driving a Volkswagon Golf along Churchill Way East with Delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol, one of the cannabinoids identified in cannabis, in his blood - namely 3.4 ugms. He indicated a plea of guilty to possessing throwing knives with blades measuring 9cm. In total he was fined £640 and was ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £64 and costs of £85. Walker-Campbell was disqualified from holding a driving licence for 12 months.

THOMAS WICKHAM, aged 24, of Friary Lane, Salisbury, pleaded guilty to intentionally damaging a window and possessing an air rifle. Both incidents took place in Amesbury on May 9 last year. Wickham was ordered to pay compensation of £240.

DONATO ETTORE COCOMAZZI, aged 53, of Chatham Close, Salisbury, pleaded guilty to assaulting a man in Salisbury on April 5 last year. He was fined £61 and was ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £32 and costs of £85.

GINO EVANS, aged 26, of Netton Close, Bishopstone, indicated a plea of guilty to possessing a quantity of cocaine in Salisbury on April 27 last year. He was fined £50 and his time spent in custody was considered time served for the offence.

DAVID GALVIN, aged 58, of Gainsborough Close, Bemerton Heath, pleaded guilty to assaulting another person in Salisbury on February 24 last year. He also pleaded guilty to disorderly behaviour while drunk along Avon Approach on April 27. He was fined £40 and was ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £95 and costs of £85. Galvin must carry out 100 hours of unpaid work.

LEDUA KANAVAKATINI, aged 29, of Swinton Barracks, Tidworth, pleaded guilty to driving while exceeding the legal alcohol limit. On April 12 last year he was driving a silver Ford Mondeo along the forecourt of the Esso Garage on Pennings Road, Tidworth, with 70 microgrammes of alcohol in every 100 millilitres of breath. He was fined £400 and was ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £40 and costs of £85. The defendant was also disqualified from holding a driving licence for 17 months.

ROBERT BROWN, aged 29, of Winding Way, Salisbury, pleaded guilty to possessing 3.8 grams of cannabis in Salisbury on May 8 last year. He was fined £40 and ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £34 and costs of £50.

VICTORIA MONHAN, aged 37, of King John Road, Gillingham, indicated a plea of guilty to stealing £100 cash from another woman. The incident took place in North Wraxall on December 24, 2019. Monhan was fined £92 and was ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £32, compensation of £100 and costs of £85.

ALFIE SHERRED, aged 50, of St John Road, Frome, pleaded guilty to hunting a wild mammal with a dog. The incident took place on January 4 last year at Copehill Down, Salisbury Plain. Sherred was fined £120 and was ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £32 and costs of £85.
