A MAN has admitted possessing indecent images of children.
Bruce Cavalier, aged 48, previously of Blandford, was in possession of 71 indecent images of children between December 2010 to November 2019, Weymouth Magistrates Court heard.
Cavalier admitted to possession of two counts of category A indecent images of children, six counts of category B indecent images, and 63 counts of category C images.
Category A images are rated the most serious.
Karen O'Brien, representing Cavalier, said he admitted possessing the images immediately upon his arrest.
"He has sought help and this behaviour was a result of a breakdown in his marriage," said Ms O'Brien.
"He has not reoffended since being arrested for possession of the images.
"He's admitted to suffering from anxiety and depression. He has also shown great remorse for his crimes, as he knows the children in these images have been betrayed."
Cavalier, now of Marston Road, Farnham, Surrey, will be sentenced at Bournemouth Crown Court on February 12.
