Heard at Salisbury Magistrates' Court in December:

BEN STIRK, aged 36, of Saunders Avenue, Bishopdown, pleaded guilty to driving without the appropriate licence or policy of insurance. On June 27 last year Stirk was driving a Ford Focus Zetec along Saunders Avenue, despite the secretary of state revoking his licence in 2014. During the same incident he did not have the appropriate policy of insurance. Stirk was fined £400 and was ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £40 and costs of £85. His driving record was endorsed with six points.

RICHARD NICHOLSON, aged 39, of no fixed abode, pleaded guilty to assaulting a woman by beating in Salisbury on August 10 last year. He indicated a plea of guilty to intentionally damaging a microwave belonging to the victim. Nicholson was ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £95 and costs of £85. He must have drug rehabilitation treatment for six months and must attend activities and appointments as instructed by an officer.

Heard at Swindon Magistrates:

ANDREW FODEY, aged 32, of Edmund Way, Amesbury, pleaded guilty to theft and assault. On November 4, 6 and December 21 and 22, all in 2019, Fodey stole alcohol from a Co-op supermarket in Amesbury. He assaulted a man by beating on November 6, and another on December 22. Fodey was ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £90 and his time spent in custody was considered time served for the offence. The defendant must complete 80 hours of unpaid work and attend activities and appointments as instructed by an officer.

DAVID PERRY, aged 41, of Jubilee Close, Salisbury, pleaded guilty to possessing heroin in Ferndown on October 14 last year. Heard by a sitting of the Dorset Magistrates’ Court, Perry was fined £50 and was ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £35. His time spent in custody was considered time served for the offence.

EDGAR LEWIS, aged 57, of Russell Road, Salisbury, indicated a plea of guilty to stealing alcohol and fabric conditioner, totalling £145, from a Tesco Extra in Lichfield on March 13, 2019. Heard by a sitting of the Staffordshire Magistrates’ Court, Lewis was fined £120 and was ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £32 and costs of £45.

JAMES RATHBONE, aged 38, of Middleton Road, Salisbury, pleaded guilty to two drug-related offences. On November 26, 2019, Rathbone was driving a Mazda along Middleton Road in Salisbury whilst unfit to do so through drugs. He had in his possession two small bags of cocaine. He was fined £120 and was ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £32 and costs of £85. He was disqualified from holding a driving licence for 12 months.
