A MAN from Mere has been charged with being equipped for theft and driving offences, after being stopped by police in Salisbury.
On January 14 officers from the Salisbury community policing team halted a vehicle on Southampton Road, as part of a routine stop.
Clive Mitchell, aged 39, of Ashwell, was arrested, charged with being equipped for theft, driving while uninsured, driving without a valid licence and prohibited use of rebated heavy oil.
He has been released on conditional bail to appear before court on April 23.
