Salisbury is set for heavy snow for a brief period this weekend, according to the Met Office weather forecast for the city.
UPDATE - The best pictures as Salisbury wakes up to snow
A yellow weather warning urging residents to be aware of icy roads had been in place until 10.30am on Saturday (January 23).
A second yellow warning comes into effect at 3am on Sunday (January 24), lasting until 6pm the same day.
It is during this second period that Salisbury could actually see some snowfall, if the Met Office hour by hour forecast is correct.
If you want to make sure you witness the white stuff you will need to get up early on Sunday morning.
Light snow is predicted to fall from 6am.
But it’s between 8am and 9am that the Met Office says ‘heavy snow’ could hit, with temperatures likely to be at 0C and an 80% chance of precipitation.
