A FURTHER nine people have died at Salisbury District Hospital having tested positive for Covid-19.

This brings the total number to have died after receiving a positive test result to 158.

As of 8.15am this morning (January 26), there are also another 137 in patients who have tested positive being cared for.

One man in his 80s died on January 21.

Then one man in his 60s, and two men in their 80s, died on January 24.

One man in his 70s, a man and a women in their 80s, and two men in their 90s died on January 25.

All patients had underlying health conditions.

The hospital said: "Our thoughts and condolences are with all the patients’ families and loved ones at this very difficult and distressing time."
