A NORTH Dorset GP surgery has vaccinated more than 10 per cent of its patients in just two weeks.

Gillingham Medical Practice said almost all care home residents and staff, NHS workers and over-80s have received the Covid-19 vaccination.

Housebound patients are also receiving their jabs, and as of January 23, there were 72 visits left to do.

And there are plans to start vaccinating the over-75s at clinics tomorrow and Saturday.

A spokesperson for the practice said: “This is of course in addition to us continuing with ‘business as usual’. Our partners and staff have been working tirelessly to make this happen and we just cannot thank them enough.

“Please do not contact us to book your vaccination - we will contact you as soon as we are able to offer you an appointment.”
