AVON Valley Churches (AVC) joined forces wit The Cottage Loaf to spread a little love on Valentine’s Day in Fordingbridge.
They delivered hundreds of cakes and Valentine’s cards to local care homes including, Fordingbridge Care Home, Allenbrook as well as Glynn Court Residential Home.
The cakes were funded by Avon Valley Churches’ charity the Avon Valley Partnership Youth and Community Trust, along with some generous private donations, and were created by Mike and his team.
During half term, AVC has also teamed up with The Cottage Loaf to fund more cakes for local children and their families.
A spokesperson for AVC said: “All were so gratefully received with huge smiles and thanks from the care staff at each home.
“Many more cakes will be collected from The Cottage Loaf this week by children and their families in the area as a gift from us as a half term treat to let people know we are thinking of them.”
This is part of the ways AVC is showing its support for the community during this latest lockdown.
