SOME of the cases heard by Salisbury Magistrates':

REECE KEENAN, aged 19, of Upnor Close, Perham Down, pleaded guilty to disorderly behaviour while drunk in Salisbury’s Guildhall Square on January 23 last year. He was fined £100 and was ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £32 and costs of £85.

JAMES SLOMAN, aged 47, of Westwood Road, Salisbury, pleaded guilty to using a car without the appropriate policy of insurance. The offence took place on April 16 last year when Sloman used a silver BMW in Wilton Market Place. Sloman indicated a plea of guilty to possessing cannabis, also on April 16. He was fined £200 and was ordered to pay costs of £85. He was disqualified from holding a driving licence for 12 months.

BISHAL GURUNG, aged 32, of Ordnance Road, Tidworth, pleaded guilty to driving while exceeding the legal alcohol limit. On August 9 last year he was driving a Ford car along Abbotts Road in Tidworth with 64 microgrammes of alcohol in every 100 millilitres of breath. He was fined £253 and was ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £34 and costs of £85. The defendant was also disqualified from holding a driving licence for 17 months.

Heard by Swindon Magistrates’:

KYLE BRACE, aged 26, of Ashfield Road, Salisbury, indicated a plea of guilty to stealing £278 worth of goods from Boots in Salisbury on January 11. This incident was during Brace’s suspended sentence, following a previous offence of theft last year. The defendant was ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £128 and a one-week prison sentence will run alongside his six month sentence.

JASON SELLORS, aged 49, of Barnard Street, Salisbury, indicated a plea of guilty to communicating with another person when a restraining order prohibited him from doing so. The incident took place in Chippenham on January 12. Sellors was fined £80 and was ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £34 and costs of £85.

CRISTIAN FLINTA, aged 50, of Pelham Street, Newark on Trent, pleaded guilty to driving without due care and attention, and causing injury to another person. On December 17, 2019, Flinta was driving a Vauxhall Vivaro along Norfolk Road in Harnham, Salisbury, when he accidentally struck a woman with the car’s wing mirror and failed to stop the vehicle. Injury was caused and the victim was left shaken up. Flinta was fined £330 and was ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £34 and costs of £85. Flinta’s driving record was endorsed with six points.
