A MAN who has denied assaulting a nurse at Salisbury District Hospital is in court today.

Cameron Mackay, aged 33, was said to have attempted to assault the nurse by beating who, together with security staff, was trying to get him to leave hospital property on January 21.

Appearing before Swindon Magistrates’ Court on January 23, via video link from Melksham police station, Mackay, of Rougement Close, Salisbury, pleaded not guilty to assaulting an emergency worker, causing a nuisance on NHS property and disorderly behaviour.

Mackay was bailed and the trial begins today, March 1, at Salisbury Magistrates' Court.
