The first incident involved three teenagers from different households whose car was stopped by an officer in The Centre on February 24.

Two 18-year-olds and a 19-year-old were issued with £200 fines.

On Saturday February 17, five men were fined after they were stopped near Winterbourne Stoke.

They were found to have travelled from Southampton without good reason.

Officers stopped the vehicle at a garage on the A303.

The men, all aged between 21 and 34, said they had driven from Southampton to visit a friend, so were all issued with £200 fines for breaching lockdown restrictions.

Overall, 59 fixed penalty notices were issued in the past week.

Five separate house parties were broked up by police in Swindon and Chippenham last weekend alone.
