INCREASING graffiti in Salisbury City Centre will lead to further crime and antisocial behaviour, police officers warn.

Wiltshire Police has been advised by Salisbury City Council that there has been an increase in graffiti in the area.

The main targeted places include Churchill Way, Greencroft, Winchester Street, St Ann Street, and some of the local underpasses.

A spokesperson from Wiltshire Police said: "This graffiti is not art, and the offenders are not Banksy.

"This sort of damage does nothing to improve the area and public money is spent removing it, as it often includes offensive language and it also promotes further crime and antisocial behaviour.

"The 'tags' in these photos are individual to a single offender and we'd appreciate any information that people could provide which could help to identify them."

Anyone with further information about the graffiti or the offender can contact police by calling 101.
