Some patients, in line with guidance from the Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation (JCVI), who have already received the first dose are also being invited back to the hospital vaccination hub.

"It gives me confidence that I am able to protect myself as well as staff and patients," she said.

The hub, located in the Odstock Health and Fitness Centre, opened for the first time on December 29.

The happy news comes just a day after staff at the City Hall vaccine hub delivered their 20,000th dose.

Capacity at the large-scale site has also doubled thanks to the opening of a second pod.
