THIS year's Fordingbridge Festival has been postponed for a second year due to the pandemic.

Instead, Fordingbridge Events Group is hoping it will be able to focus on a Christmas event, when it is anticipating social distancing restrictions will be more relaxed.

Nicky Jenkins, the chair of events group, said: “After much consideration, the committee has unanimously agreed to postpone this year’s festival.

"Although hopefully things will begin reopening by July, the current restrictions are making it very difficult to proceed.

"We think it unlikely that even if restrictions are lifted by then, large group gatherings will be allowed.”

She added: “We are in the process of notifying everyone who has reserved a stand for the 2021 festival to say they can either use the money to hold their place for 2022 or get a refund. If anyone has any questions, they can contact the group by emailing fordingbridgeevents@gmail.com.”
