AVON Valley Primary Care Network has hit a milestone - administering more than 20,000 Covid vaccinations.

The network of GP surgeries is made up of The Fordingbridge Surgery, Ringwood Medical Centre, Cornerways Medical Centre in Ringwood and Twin Oaks Surgery in Bransgore.

Staff have been administering the vaccines at the Fordingbridge Hospital site. The vaccination programme started at the Fordingbridge site during the week of December 21 last year.

A post on Fordingbridge Surgery Facebook page today (March 30) said: "Avon Valley Primary Care Network have now administered over 20,000 vaccinations.

"Thank you very much to all the staff, volunteers and the cooperation of the four surgeries' patients that have worked together and enabled this to happen."

Patients aged 50 to 59 are currently being vaccinated. Those who have not booked an appointment are asked to ring their surgery as soon as possible or call the national booking service on 119 or go online.
