HERE are eight activities families can enjoy over the Easter bank holiday and half term in and around Salisbury.

1. Easter Adventure Quest - Old Sarum

Old Sarum is hosting an Easter Adventure Quest, which runs until Sunday, April 18, 10am to 5pm. Crack clues and search for dragon eggs on the outdoor trail.

2. St George’s Day Treasure Hunt - Salisbury

Go on the hunt for clues in the St George’s Day Treasure Hunt.

The treasure trail runs from April 1 until April 30 and gives families the chance to explore the city centre and seek out the nine shields that St George has used while fighting the dragon.

Each shield will contain a clue to lead to the location of the next one, and eventually to the “hidden treasure”. Make notes of the letters at each location.

Collect a flyer from Shopmobility or download and print a copy Salisbury City Council's website.

Take completed flyers to the information centre in Fish Row when it opens on April 12 or Shopmobility before May 7 to claim your reward.

3. Nature Trail - Salisbury

Take part in the Salisbury Discovery Nature Trail to explore areas you may never have visited before.

Salisbury City Council’s Communities Team have created the trail for people to explore the green spaces in the city and discover the various species of wildlife that call Salisbury home.

The trail is made up of 15 posts with special zinc plaques.

All are situated in parks and open spaces.

4. Easter Pottery

Wiltshire Creative has put together Easter Pottery @Home packs.

These can be collected from Salisbury Arts Centre. To reserve yours click here. Packs are limited.

5. Easter Egg Hunt - Tidworth

Enjoy some Easter fun and take part in Tidworth Town Council’s Easter Egg Hunt.

Eleven Easter eggs are hidden around the town which make up an Easter related word.

Use the map to collect the letters. Once the hunt has been completed email your name and hidden word to ttccompetition@gmail.com to be entered into a prize draw.

The Easter Egg Hunt runs until April 19.

Every entry can collect a sweet treat from Tidworth Community Centre between 9am to 1pm Monday to Friday following your entry.

6. Easter Egg Hunt - Stourhead

Discover the family-friendly trail with fun activities to do along the way.

Complete the trail and earn your chocolate reward at the end.

It runs until April 18, 9.30am to 5pm, with last entry at 3.30pm.

7. We Cover the Universe - online show/ workshops

We cover the universe online show/workshops with Akin theatre and Pound Arts takes place on Wednesday, April 14 with two performances at 10.30am and 2pm held online over Zoom.

It is for under fives and families with poetry, drawing and gentle play combining across Zoom

8. Easter drama and wellbeing workshops - Online

Forest Forge Theatre Company in Ringwood is hosting the workshops on April 7 from 10.30am to 3.30pm.

Ages 7-11 run from10.30am to 12.30pm, followed by sessions for ages 12 to 16 at 1.30pm to 3.30pm.
