A plot of land between two houses in Winterslow was snapped up during an online auction.

The 0.11-acre freehold site at Yarmley Lane was among 107 lots being put under the hammer by regional land and property auctioneers Clive Emson across southern England.

Rob Marchant, Clive Emson’s Wiltshire auctioneer, said: “We received keen interest from a number of parties and an offer was made to the vendor which was accepted prior to auction. The guide price was £35,000-plus – the price paid was above this, reflecting the market interest.”

“We are not privy to any plans the new owner may or may not have," added Rob.

Clive Emson’s next digital auction, the third of eight this year, takes place on Wednesday, May 5, with the catalogue available online from Saturday, April 17.
