Do you know a heroic nurse, doctor or carer or who has gone above and beyond during the coronavirus pandemic?
On every street, there are heroes hiding in plain sight.
They often work in our hospitals and care homes.
If you haven't heard yet, there's a chance to pay tribute to these unsung heroes, who might be too modest to share their own remarkable achievements.
MORE - The South Wiltshire Hero Awards explained and how to nominate
Here are six great reasons you need to nominate medics or care specialists in the South Wiltshire Hero Awards 2021:
1 - To make amends for a thank you missed
You meant to tell the team that saved your life just how much you appreciated all they had done but they were just too busy.
2 - To support a family hero
You are the mother, father, sister, brother, daughter, son, or partner of that caring person who sometimes comes home exhausted and in tears.
3 - Gratitude didn't end with the weekly clap
You are not being asked to stand on your doorstep and clap anymore, so what better way to show your appreciation to our doctors and nurses?
4 - A proper thank you for once
That care worker might never have had a proper thank you and this is a great way of doing it.
5 - Motivate them to keep going
A few well-chosen words will motivate that person to keep doing the great things they have done for you.
6 - You never know when you'll need a hero
You might need their help once more.
