NAKED Bagel has announced it is moving home.

In a post on Facebook, the company has said it is moving from Winchester Street to the Market Square.

Work has already started on the new home, and owner Rory Clark hopes the move will be completed by mid-to-late June.

Rory told the Journal he is “apprehensive, but raring to go”.

The move will see Naked Bagel moving into a bigger premises with seating inside and out, and Rory estimates there will be the capacity for around 30 people indoors, and somewhere between 50-60 people outside, depending on what the rules are as we move into the summertime.

'Exciting things up our sleeve'

Rory added: “We have loads of exciting things up our sleeve and we hope that you will all join us for the next stage of our bagel journey

“All going to plan we should be opening our doors mid/late June, we cannot wait to see you all there”

Rory also thanked his loyal customers for their support, which has helped him keep the business going through a tricky 12 months.

Naked Bagel managed to stay open throughout the last year, other than for six weeks during the first lockdown last March. He said: “We are moving in the right direction, and I can’t wait to get started in the new building”.

As part of the move, the opening hours will be extended, and Rory will also be taking on more staff.
