A MAN has been arrested following an incident in which a car hit another vehicle before ploughing into traffic lights.
Police say a 38-year-old Southampton has been detained on suspicion of possession of a controlled Class A drug.
It follows an incident at Carlton Road yesterday evening.
A police spokesperson said: "A silver Mercedes had been in collision with a silver Ford Focus.
"The Mercedes continued along Carlton Road where it collided with traffic lights at the junction with Archers Road and Bannister Road.
"A man has been arrested on suspicion of possession of a controlled drug of Class A. He is currently in custody."
