A PROSECUTION notice has been sent to a driver who managed to escape the police by hitting speeds of 130mph in a 60mph zone
The driver of a silver Mercedes CLC was recorded doing this speed at 7.20pm on Sunday, April 4.
The car was initially clocked on the A36 Alderbury bypass doing 115mph.
It then reached speeds of 130mph in a 60 as it failed to stop for the Roads Policing Unit, before taking to narrow lanes to avoid capture.
Wiltshire Police has now confirmed that the driver has been sent a Notice of Intended Prosecution for careless driving, speeding and failing to stop for an officer.
