PERFECT your cocktail making skills by joining Downton Distillery for a virtual masterclass.

The distillery is running a series of virtual gin classes, which it says have been a "hue success" with the most popular class being the master cocktail class where participants get to learn about gin making and the history behind Explorer’s gin whilst making a number of cocktails.

Owner and head distiller Hugh Anderson said: “Every virtual evening has been different and so much fun: we have made cocktails simple, using everyday ingredients that you may have in your kitchen. We have catered for birthdays, hen and stag evenings, and corporate clients. It is about bringing people together, interacting, learning and laughing together.”

The next virtual event is on April 30. Book online or send an email to info@downtondistillery.com

Downton Distillery is also offering a refill service at Downton Brewery for its bottles, where customers can save 20 per cent . In Salisbury, Explorer’s Gin can be purchased at Regent Tailoring.

During the first lockdown, the distillery were suppling hand sanitiser to local communities, care homes, frontline services, shops and councils.
